WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is a safe, perfectly natural state of mind that allows you to tap into the power of your subconscious mind. As your hypnotist; I can teach you how hypnosis can help you reprogram your subconscious mind. It might surprise you to know that you are in a state similar to hypnosis every day. When you wake up in the morning, you are in a hypnotic state. When you were driving along the freeway and missed your exit, you were in a hypnotic state. Right before you fall asleep at night, hypnotic hypnosis is so easy to tap into. At this level of relaxation, you are up to 100 times more receptive to ideas, images and suggestions that enable changes to occur easily and effortlessly.

You’ve probably heard is said that “all hypnotism is self hypnosis” and this is true. As your hypnotist; I will teach you how to go deep into hypnosis. Each time you go into hypnosis you will go a little deeper and a little more easily. You get good at it. It is possible to learn self hypnosis from a book, but being taught self hypnosis while you are in hypnosis is totally effortless.
I prefer to teach my clients self hypnotism in their third or fourth hypnosis session. By this time we will have their most urgent stress, weight loss, or smoking cessation problems under control. By then, they are really good at going into hypnosis. Learning how to hypnotize themselves and continue to reprogram their own subconscious, is easy.
Going into hypnosis by listening to an mp3 recording is another sort of self hypnosis. I recommend the use of reinforcement recordings for many of my clients.
I do not sell or endorse generic “one size fits all” hypnotherapy recordings or hypnosis downloads. If recorded by a competent hypnotist they will seldom do you any harm. But, their success rate is much lower than one on one hypnosis with the same hypnotist. So, if you see a hypnotherapy recording or a hypnosis download that interests you; go ahead and try it. But, be aware that you could very well be wasting your time.
By using hypnosis to stop smoking you can deal with the emotional and mental aspects of giving up smoking, not just the habit; thereby making smoking cessation a permanent change. Hypnosis has enjoyed a high success rate with smoking cessation and is one of the most common reasons people consult a hypnotist.
